Today, best described as an apple whiskey, Laird’s Applejack is a pure spirit beverage made from a blend of apple brandy and neutral grain spirits. To meet consumer demand for lighter, lower proof spirits, the Laird family created the Blended Applejack spirit category in 1972.

The Laird family has produced Applejack in New Jersey since 1698, with the first commercial transaction, recorded in the family ledger, in 1780.Īs America evolved over the past 200 plus years, so has Laird’s Applejack. To me, the whole experience was laughable because it was so terrible.Applejack, known as, “America’s First Spirit”, has been a part of American culture prior to earning our independence. Other than that I wouldn't recommend working with Applejack at all unless you're prepared to add some unneeded stress on your wedding day because they just happen to realize the day before they don't have what you ordered. The only positive feedback I can provide is that as far as I know the order came on time and it was COLD. We know that we will drink it, even if it takes us a year or two I'd rather keep it than deal with Applejack any further. After the horrible experience we had with the customer service, I don't even want to drive the 40 minutes required to return the booze.

We had a bunch of bottles leftover ranging from hard liquor, beer, champagne and wine that we were going to return. After checking my bank account they charged us the higher price. The day after I saw that they placed two invoices in our box, one with a lower price and one with a higher price. It was great, I will not complain about that. Great! Just get it there on time!Īt my reception I realized the vodka was indeed, not Svedka, but another organic vodka I had never seen before.

After spending another 10 minutes on the phone righting our order, they said they would supply us with Svedka cucumber lime vodka. I told him this and he agreed that the way they handled it was not great.

I was extremely annoyed at their lack of pro activeness as well as how they handled the situation. (this right here was my tipping point) You can only imagine what happened then. The guy I finally got to talk to (I unfortunately don't remember his name) informed me that they had made a mistake and were actually out of BOTH of the vodka brands that we had ordered originally and they removed them from our order.
#APPLEJACK LIQUOR HOW TO#
I called into Applejack, after talking to a lady who had no clue how to help me, being placed on hold for over 15 minutes, hung up on and had to call back again I finally talked to someone who could help me. This cucumber vodka was for our signature drink a cucumber mojito, and they had simply "taken it off the order" because they didn't have it.

But at the time I could've walked into my small liquor store by my house and found Effen Cucumber Vodka.īecause of the busyness of the day, I didn't listen to the message until the next day, my wedding day, on the way to get my hair done. It means they didn't order it on time or that the supplier truly didn't have any. Now, I work in supply chain & logistics so I understand what that means. because it was back ordered from the supplier. The day before the wedding, while I was busy with the rehearsal dinner up on Lookout Mountain no less, with no cell service, I received a phone call from Applejack saying that they didn't have the cucumber vodka that I had ordered. Three weeks before the wedding I called to have them finalize the order and assumed everything was great.
